Privacy Policy

We take the protection of personal data very seriously and want you to feel safe when visiting our website. Personal data collected on our website is processed in accordance to the legal requirements, in particular the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Teleservices Act (TMG).

How do we process personal data?
In certain areas of our website we provide you with the possibility to contact us or to use certain services (e.g. newsletter subscription). In doing so, all personal data submitted to us will only be used for the purpose for which it was provided. Your data will not be passed on to any third parties.

What is personal data?
Personal data is any information with which a person can be identified. Your name, address and telephone number are all considered personal data. Information which is not directly associated with your real identity (e.g. favourite websites or number of page users) is not considered personal data. Which data will be requested?

Provided that there is the possibility to input personal or commercial data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses), the disclosure of this data is the user's own voluntary decision. The use of all services provided is -if technically and reasonably possible- also permitted without giving such data or by providing anonymous data or a pseudonym. However, by correctly indicating the optional data you allow us to look after you personally and individually.

Is the confidentiality of e-mail communication / contact forms guaranteed?
Should you want to contact us via e-mail or by contact form, we must point out that the confidentiality of the information submitted cannot be guaranteed in some cases. E-mail content can be viewed by third parties. Therefore, we recommend that you only send us your confidential information by post.

Will data be recorded when I visit?
Every time a user enters a page on our website and retrieves a file, access data relating to this process will be saved in a log file on our server:

  • IP address
  • page from which the file was requested
  • date, time
  • type of browser and browser settings
  • operating system
  • the page you have visited
  • amount of data transferred
  • access status (data transfer, data not found, etc.)

This data is used to generate statistics which help us tailor our website to better accommodate your needs. A personal reference can only be deduced from this if you directly log on to our page and access our website from a personalised page. However, your data will never be passed on to any third parties, not even in excerpts.

Do you use cookies?
We use session cookies on our page. Data will be temporarily saved. The use of temporary cookies offers you the benefit of not having to continually re-enter your personal data when filling out different forms on our website. Cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.

Most browsers are configured to automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate these cookies from being stored or configure your browser so that it notifies you as soon as cookies are sent.

Should you have cookies deactivated, its purpose is to identify a person during a session on our website, a so-called session ID. No data is stored on your computer. The session ID is deleted when you leave the page.

Do I have influence on how my data is used?

Naturally, you have the sole right to decide if and for which purposes we can use your data. E.g. you have the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time. Normally a link with which your subscription can be easily cancelled is provided for at the end of the newsletter,. In addition, only you can decide whether we can use your data for advice, advertisement and market research. Of course you can change your mind and revoke your consent at any time.

Are you going to pass my data on to third parties?

We only use personal data for internal purposes as part of our customer relations. Your data will not be passed on without your consent. Inquiries about personal data and its disclosure to government institutions and authorities will only take place in accordance to relevant laws or if we are obliged to do so by court order. All employees and service providers are sworn to secrecy and compliance with the data protection regulations.

How can I check, correct or delete my data?
In accordance with § 34 and § 6b of the Federal Data Protection Act, the user has the right to obtain free information regarding their saved personal data upon request. Furthermore, in accordance with legal requirements, the user also has the right to amend, block and delete this personal data. In all of these cases, refer to us directly.

Can this privacy policy also be modified?
Current situations, such as an amendment to the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), may lead to an update of this privacy policy if necessary.
